About the Magazine

A scribbled wall. Next to it a glove is dependent

Why do we blog?

ZKM is a space of artistic experience which unfurls online and on site. It produces and presents not only interactive media art which turns our visitors into active, creative visitors, but it also invites us to participate democratically and culturally in digital space. As a »smart place«, ZKM develops formats that initiate dialogue between us and our visitors. The ZKM magazine is a medium for sharing opinions, discussing and commenting.

Based on our exhibitions, ongoing projects, concerts and events, the magazine establishes topics that ask us: How do we want to live in the future? The magazine reveals the people behind the exhibitions and their experiences. It gathers background information and presents opposing views. We must discuss! We are not content with the status quo – we focus on the backstage of the artistic scene. We are particularly interested in hidden themes. We provide scope for productive discussion, and the one thing we are above all, is curious!
