Artist Yara El-Sherbini and the ZKM invites you and your family to build your own weather house ("Wetterhäuschen"). Why not giving this lovable traditional item a new look? Let your creativity run free and create a weather house resembling your dream house. After a short overview over the current exhibition "The Global Contemporary. Art Worlds After 1989" you will create your own functioning weather house together with the artist. Yara El-Sherbini is currently a guest artist at ZKM and deals in her work for the exhibition "The Global Contemporary. Art Worlds After 1989" with questions on cultural identity which she tries to approach via traditional objects such as weather houses.
