Tangible Sound – Concert Installation
Representation of physical models in the museum
Thu, September 24, 2015 7 pm CEST, Concert
The highlight of the »Tangible Sound« festival is a sound installation designed by the ZKM | Music and Acoustics Institute (IMA) in cooperation with the International Ensemble Modern Academy (IEMA).

Musicians and dancers can be found in the atriums of the ZKM and can be freely visited by the public. With a smartphone or tablet, visitors can observe and hear physical models floating in the room using Augmented Reality. As a result, a new room-sound event with various virtual levels is created.

Process

7 pm  Introduction by the composers
8 pm Accessible concert installation with Augmented Reality, 15 instruments and electronics with works by Ludger Brümmer, Luc Döbereiner, Luca Danieli, Constantin Popp, Hanns Holger Rutz and David Pirrò
