- This year the Giga-Hertz Award for Electronic Music goes to musician, legendary producer (among others, of Talking Heads, U2, and Coldplay) and multi-media artist Brian Eno. In addition to the Lifetime Achievements Award presented to Brian Eno, the Award for Production will also be presented to Brazilian-born Giuliano Obici, to the Spaniard Lula Romero, and to the Danish duo Vinyl-Terror & -Horror.
Following the awards ceremony, French composer Pierre Henry will hold an exclusive concert with his work »Le fil de la vie« from 2012. The 87-year-old pioneer of electro-acoustic music will be presented with the Giga-Hertz Grand Prize for SoundArt-2013.
