- 1975-77 Rhode Island School of Design; 1979 B.F.A. San Francisco Art Institute; 1985 M.A. in Visual Studies at M.I.T; teaching video and computer graphic at Rhode Island School of Design and at M.I.T.; 1993-94 artist-in-residence at ICC Tokyo and ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe; professor at UCLA; 1995 First Prize of the International Award for Video Art 1995; since 1999 Seaman has been a professor in the Department of Design/Media Arts; lives in Los Angeles.
