- Dieter Roth (Dieter Rot) did an apprenticeship as a graphic designer until 1951. 1953–1964 founding publisher, with Marcel Wyss and Eugen Gomringer, of the magazine »Spirale. Internationale Zeitschrift für junge Kunst«. 1957 moved to Reykjavík. 1968–1971 professor at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.
