- Georgia Spiropoulos studied composition, electroacoustic music and form analysis with Philippe Leroux and Michael Lévinas and computer music at IRCAM with Jonathan Harvey, Tristan Murail, Brian Ferneyhough and Philippe Hurel. She won the »Villa Médicis Hors les Murs« prize for NYC and was made a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters. She worked at IRCAM as a composer-in-research. She collaborates with many ensembles (Ensemble Intercontemporain, San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, L'Itinéraire, 2E2M, Ars Nova, Accentus, dissonArt). In June 2015, a concert-portrait of the composer was organized by IRCAM at Pompidou Center during the Manifeste Festival.
