Media Art in the urban space of Karlsruhe
Thu, August 18, 2022 – Mon, October 03, 2022

On the occasion of the 11th Assembly of the World Council of Churches, which will be held in Karlsruhe in early September 2022, the ZKM | Center for Art and Media, with the support of the City of Karlsruhe, will present works of contemporary media art in public spaces from August 18 to September 18.

The six artworks will be on show at locations around Karlsruhe’s city center including Friedrichsplatz and Rondellplatz as well as in the City Hall, the Intro Café, and the Triangel open space at Kronenplatz.

The works address all organs of the senses. They are literally illuminating and enlightening in their engagement with contemporary social issues – from the COVID-19 pandemic to the climate crisis.

This project is realzed within the framework of the UNESCO City of Media Art Karlsruhe.
