Description

Iannis Xenakis has been one of the most outstanding composers due to his very uncommon approach to the conception of music. His compositions and his writings are often seen as a totally new concept of musical thinking. what can up-to-date cognitive sciences and neurophysiology tell us about people like Xenakis - but maybe also about our contemporary concepts of musical arts? Is it the individual's energy which boosts new conceptual ways. or is it more the cultural development which encourabes an evergrowing diversity of musical (and other art-related) concepts?
