Notes for your visit

during the Covid-19 pandemic

In order to make your visit to the museum an untroubled pleasure, we have worked out distance and hygiene guidelines that enable us all to visit the museum in a responsible manner.

2G and 2G+ for visiting ZKM

The 2G rule currently applies to visits to exhibitions. For eventsguided tours and workshops, 2G+ applies. The proof must be carried on the basis of a QR code via app or in paper form; the yellow vaccination card alone is no longer sufficient. In addition, visitors need an official identification document (identity card or passport) for verification.

The implementation and design of the 2G rule is the responsibility of the federal states. You can read the current regulations here.

What do I have to consider?

In the entire ZKM, masks are compulsory for all visitors aged 6 years and older – please wear an FFP2 mask or medical mouth/nose covering throughout your visit. Children up to 13 years of age may alternatively use an everyday mask.

Children up to and including the age of five are exempt from the 2G and 2G+ rule, as are six- and seven-year-old children who have not yet started school, as well as students at elementary and secondary schools, students at special education and counseling centers (SBBZ), and students at vocational schools. The proof for adolescents from secondary school onwards is provided, for example, by the student ID card.

If you have cold symptoms, you are not allowed to enter the ZKM. There is also a ban on entry for all persons who have been in a country for which a travel warning has been issued in the last 14 days, as well as all persons who have had contact with a person infected with the Corona virus within this period. The hygiene standards of the German Federal Center for Health Education apply.

Our staff will work with you to be aware of the hygiene and distance rules. Please take into account any advice you may receive from ZKM staff.

Please fill out the Corona contact tracking form for your visit. Your personal data will be deleted by us four weeks after your visit. Alternatively, you can also store your contact details via the Luca app.

How do I move around?

Throughout the ZKM, a minimum distance of at least 1.5 meters must be maintained from people who have not entered the ZKM together.

Please note the changed routing at the entrances and exits.

We would like to ask you not to use the foyer as a lounge, as we must avoid accumulations of groups.
