Biography

Philipp Tögel is an artist, sound designer, musician, and creative programmer. In addition to freelance work as a programmer of software for museums, he worked on various audiovisual installations such as the »Tree Concert«. He studied in the Master’s program at Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) in the field »Variantologie / Archaeology of the Media«.  As part of a master's thesis he created emulations of two digital publications by the philosopher Vilém Flusser for the exhibition »Without Firm Ground –  Vilém Flusser and the Arts«, which was on display at ZKM in  2015. Within this project, he restored the so-called »Flusser Hypertext«, a HyperCard application that was developed in the early 1990s at the Kernforschungszentrum Karlsruhe (today KIT).
