As one of the world's most important media artists, composer Christina Kubisch presents a cross-section of her work in the form of an exhibition and the world premiere of her latest piece at the ZKM. In addition to a concert in the cube and a documentary exhibition including listening stations, the artist invites visitors to "Electrical Walks", city walks that make electromagnetic fields audible through special headphones.

An important tool for Christina Kubisch is the system of electromagnetic induction, which she has developed into an individual artistic tool since the early 1980s. After receiving the Giga-Hertz Grand Award for Electronic Music and Sound Art in 2021, she is now a guest at ZKM again. As part of the event “Waves, Walks and Wilderness,” the composer and sound artist will present some of her current compositions at the Kubus on Saturday. In addition, a documentation station in the foyer provides a retrospective of the 94 “Electrical Walks” that have been conducted worldwide to date.
