The annual Scholarship Awards is the ceremonial highpoint of the Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Kunst und Medientechnologie [Association for the Promotion of Art and Media] promotion campaign. This year, the evening will be moderated by media arts and Professor Mischa Kuball of the University for Media in Cologne.

A music performance directed by Ludger Brümmer forms the prelude to the evening’s event, which will be followed up by students’ presentation of their award-winning works.
In addition to the Gunter Schroff Scholarship to the value of 5.000 € – donated by Ingrid Schroff –, two scholarships of 5.000 € and 2.500 € will be handed over by the sponsorship association. The scholarship awarded by the Heinrich-Hertz-Gesellschaft to the value of 2.000 € will be handed over by Chairman, Professor Volker Krebs (KIT).

The association was established by dedicated citizens and public personalities, and supports both the HfG | Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design and the ZKM | Karlsruhe, both with respect to ideas and material, so as to firmly anchor these in the minds of many, both in Karlsruhe and beyond the city’s boundaries.
