dokKa – Documentary Festival Karlsruhe

This year, the ZKM | Karlsruhe will join the dokKa Festival (Documentary Festival Karlsruhe) as cooperation partner for the first time. The festival’s thematic focus not only refers to GLOBALE; the jury will also present the ZKM’s »GLOBALE Award« for a documentary film, a radio documentary /a radio feature or a documentary installation.
The award ceremony is scheduled to be held on Saturday, June 6, at 8.30 p.m. in the Kinemathek Karlsruhe, which is to be followed by a party. The »GLOBALE Award« the »Dokka Award for Best Documentary Work «, the »Dokka Award for Outstanding Radio Documentaries« as well as the »Dokka Sponsorship Prize Documentary Film« will also be presented on the same evening.
From the June 2 – to June 7, 2015, the dokKa presents documentary films, radio documentaries and installations. The event location is the Kinemathek Karlsruhe, Kaiserpassage. During the festival 20 film-makers, artists and authors will be invited to Karlsruhe for public discussions to be held in a temporarily erected tent in front of the cinema.
