Description

The exhibition »Renaissance 3.0« focuses on the connection between art and science in the 21st century. It shows how art makes use of the tools and methods of science and how both positions benefit from this. The shared use of tools creates a new »pool of tools«. Contemporary artists continue this development and open up new fields of research while highlighting parallels between art and science. The exhibition presents 35 media art positions that offer insights into artistic laboratory situations and multidisciplinary collaborations. Various fields of knowledge for the 21st century are explored, from biochemistry and genetic engineering to neuroscience and unconventional computing.
