Editor and author Marc James Léger will present his new book »The Idea of the Avant Garde – And What It Means Today«

When you mention the word »avant garde« to a socially engaged artist they will tell you straight out: “I don’t believe in that.” But what does it matter if you don’t believe but you are doing it anyway? Editor and author Marc James Léger will present some of his thoughts on »sinthomeopathic practice« as background to the concatenation that is »The Idea of the Avant Garde«, a book that brings together more than 50 artists and intellectuals to ponder the avant garde hypothesis as a claim on contemporary art and politics.
