for your portrait for the Schlosslichtspiele 2016

The participants of the action will be part of the photo gallery »Citizens' Gallery«. The photo gallery will be shown in exhibitions, on the internet and at the Karlsruhe Schlosslichtspiele 2016 as a facade projection. For a donation of 50 € for the Karlsruhe Schlosslichtspiele 2016 a certificate will be handed out, with the right to participate. The certificate contains an upload link with which the user can upload his portrait.​ By uploading you agree to the following rules:​

  1. Presentation of the images within the Karlsruhe Schlosslichtspiele 2016​

    By uploading your portrait is included in the portrait gallery of the installation »Citizens' Gallery« and projected during the term of the Karlsruhe Schlosslichtspiele 2016 alternating with other portraits on the facade of the Karlsruher castle.

  2. Transfer of the pictures to the Internet

    Furthermore, your portrait will be automatically uploaded to the server of the ZKM and made publicly available on the Internet.

  3. Use of the Portrait Gallery​

    The upload of images with illegal content is prohibited, in particular 
    • Pictures with pornographic, violent or otherwise harmful to minors representations;
    • Images with insulting, racist or discriminatory content or false claims;
    • Images with political messages;
    • Images with advertising content;
    • Images that hurt the rights of copyright, personal, trademark or other rights of third parties.
    ​All persons recognizable pictured must have agreed to the grant of license rights to the stated extent of the usage of the images.

  4. ​Image copyrights

    By participating in »Citizens' Gallery« you confirm that you own all rights to the portraits and content published by you on »Citizens' Gallery« and agree with their storage and use in the context of the project »Citizens' Gallery«. You agree to allow the use of portraits (and possible other content) in compliance with applicable privacy and copyright ZKM and the cooperation partners, in which »Citizens' Gallery« is presented, as follows:​
    • for projection on the Karlsruhe Palace facade;
    • for the exhibition to the cooperation partners and possibly in the ZKM;
    • for archiving in the databases of the ZKM;
    • for advertising and reporting about the exhibition, for the project »Citizens' Gallery« and for the ZKM and the cooperation partners and for their museum education and public relations;
    • for public access to electronic networks, in particular on the site operated by ZKM (including a possible download under the legally permitted limits) and on the channels of the ZKM in social media.
       
    On stating the authorship of the portraits and content will be omitted.

  5. Children and young people

    Children and adolescents who are not of legal age must obtain the consent of your parents or guardians before the use of »Citizens' Gallery«.

  6. Liability of the ZKM and the cooperation partners​

    You agree that the ZKM and the cooperation partners are exempt from liability for possible damages that occur to you as part of the project »Citizens' Gallery«, and especially do not adhere for damages caused by carelessness, apart from body - and health.

    The responsibility for the legality of the content lies by the participant, from which the images are provided.

  7. Deletion law

    The erasure of images are reserved and can be carried out without giving a reason. The photo gallery as such can always change in appearance, modified content, be slowed or stopped.
     

You are at liberty, because of changed conviction (because the portrait does no longer correspond with your convictions and therefore the recovery of the portrait cannot be disposed anymore) to recall the right of use over the ZKM. In this case, you must adequately compensate the ZKM for the expenses that are connected with the exercise of the recall right.​
