- Bernhard Schneider studied art history at the University of Tübingen and architecture in Berlin, where he moved in 1961. 1978–1981 manager of Deutscher Werkbund Berlin. 1981–1989 executive planning officer with the senators of urban development and of cultural affairs, Berlin. 1991–1995 member of the steering committee of the Stadtforum Berlin. Founding member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Semiotik. He lives in Berlin, DE.
