In the closed-circuit installation »Ichzeit – Zeitich« [Ego-time – time-ego] you are confronted with past images, lost images, and counter-images of yourself. The recordings of one recorder are not played back on it, but forwarded to a second recorder, where they are not stored, but only played back. One monitor displays the signal from one camera, which is delayed by five seconds. The second monitor shows the signal of the other camera, delayed by eight seconds and mirrored vertically. What appeared on one monitor as the movement of your left arm is seen as the movement of your right arm a few seconds later on the other monitor. What the mirror can’t do, the monitor can: it shows time-delayed images. Thus, you turn not only in space, but also in time: you see yourself from all sides, because your spatial image becomes a time image.

The installation is not in operation, it can only be seen working in the documentation.
