Street traffic, machine sounds, conversations of passers-by—the dynamic soundscape of the modern metropolis has become second nature for us. Hannes Galette Seidl and Peter Gahn, guest artists at the ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics, created a concert for percussion and electronics from this sound repertoire. In the concert program curated by Gahn and Seidl, the combination of their works with those of the other composers forms a mixture rich in contrasts. Each work enters into a commentated relationship to the previous or subsequent composition.
