Three young composers from Greece, France, and Germany have been developing electronic compositions in three European countries over the past two years. In the framework of the EU project »Ambiant Creativity,« Jérôme Bertholon, Omer Chatziserif, and Damian Marhulets received grants at the participating institutions: ACROE – Association pour la Création et la Recherche sur les Outils d’Expression (France), the Ionian University (Greece), and ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics (IMA). In two-month guest artist residencies and regularly occurring international workshops, they worked with the compositional processes cultivated at these institutions, against the backdrop of their hitherto artistic development.
The compositions, which are being created in an international context, will premiere before conclusion of the project in November. The concert will feature three utterly different pieces as well as a group improvisation by the three in a direct exchange, which will potentially make »global creativity« audible.
