Mittwochstreff: Eros, Love, and Media Art – Reading Together, Making Zines, and Drinking Tea

Eros is the god of love and desire. In myths and philosophy, he represents a force that creates connections between people and makes renewal possible. In art, including the ZKM exhibition Silver Egg. The Eros of Media Art, he provides intriguing lens through which to explore desire, relationships, and connection.

At this gathering, we will dive into texts and images about Eros. We will read together, talk about the stories and associations, and share our thoughts. Afterwards, we will create our own collaged zines (small booklets / magazines) – using found materials, photos, or drawings – to creatively express Eros, love, and desire.

Let’s get creative together! Once a month, we invite you to meet great people and brainstorm new ideas together. We’ll drink tea, chat, and try out an exciting, creative activity – without any stress or pressure. Anyone who feels like it can join in or help out the others.
