Gurama: A Textile-Tea-Ceremony on the Orchard

As part of the Adventsfenster organised by the Beiertheim-Bulach Citizens' Association, ZKM invites you to enjoy a warm drink on the Katzenwedelwiese. Konul Rafiyeva and Fabian Faylona will inaugurate a site-specific textile-installation there and prepare a moment of shared appreciation for the orchard meadow. 

The happening is inspired by the patchwork technique Gurama, which Konul Rafiyeva explores in her work as a cultural researcher and curator. Fabian Faylona relates this traditional repair technique to the maintenance practices of the orchard meadow, which he is currently exploring artistically. 

The event will take place even in bad weather. In this case, we ask you to bring umbrellas.
