24 hours #MTFLabs@ZKM

24 hours non-stop innovation at the ZKM: From October 27–28, 2018 the #MusicTechFestLabs – short #MTFLabs – will take place at the ZKM. They are a short version of the »Music Tech Fest«, a pioneering global festival of music ideas and a giant creative innovation laboratory. 

The »Music Tech Fest« brings together experts from science and art to jointly develop new tools, future technologies and interactive environments for games, business and industry.

The international and cross-genre creative happening #MTFLabs will take place at ZKM in the middle of the exhibition »Open Codes. The World as Field of Data«. 

Around twenty artists, scientists and musicians from the global »Music Tech Fest« community will come together to think, interact, collaborate and create. Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the dynamic environment and help shape the innovation laboratory. The 24-hour event allows visitors to connect their own brainwaves to the music of the universe or to work with sound distorted by the moon. They can also participate in interactive performances and create the most unusual works of art from data – technological innovation, artistic experimentation and participation come together at the #MTFLabs.

At the beginning of the event, Michela Magas, #MTF founder and »European Woman Innovator of the Year«, #MTF Director Andrew Dubber and Peter Kirn from Create Digital Music will give some introductory words and present the concept of the #MTFLabs.
