Z_KinoMittwoch. Michelangelo Antonioni: Blow up
Wed, December 19, 2001 8.30 pm CET, Film Screening

This week on the Z_KinoMittwoch program: Michelangelo Antonioni's 1966 film, Blow Up. An engaging, provocative film that tries to get closer to reality through the medium of photography. A famous London model photographer thinks he may have photographed the results of a murder. This leads him into not only a search for answers to who and why, but also to what he values in his shallow life. Based on a story by Julio Cortazar and the film debut of Vanessa Redgrave, »Blow Up« is a work of suspense worth the viewing. And not only for its philosophical angle—the film is also known for its soundtrack which includes songs by the »Yardbirds« and the »Loving Spoonful«.
