Quantum Leaps VI

Wed, February 13 – Fri, February 15, 2008

Location
Cube
The Internationale Ensemble Modern Akademie (IEMA) will make a guest appearance at the ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics: For the sixth time now, the festival »Quantensprünge« will take place at the ZKM | Karlsruhe. Once again, old masters of electronic, electro-acoustic, and acousmatic music meet with the current works of a new generation. The ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics and the IEMA congenially complement one another here, each with their own top-class grant programs including composers, instrumentalists, and a sound mixer. This hereby sets the instrumental conditions in dialogue with the electronic means. The IEMA’s highly motivated scholarship holders, chosen from around the country by a strict jury, guarantee exceptionally committed interpretations.
