ARD Radio Play Days 2009
A Festival for the Radio Play
Wed, November 04 – Sun, November 08, 2009
After the great success in past years, the ARD radio play days will now take place for the sixth time, so it’s time again in 2009, for all radio play fans: from 4th to 8th November go to ZKM and the HfG Karlsruhe! On offer is the entire spectrum of radio art. In addition, all ARD state radio facilities and Deutschlandradio will present their best productions and send them to the competition for the ARD German Radio Play Prize.
A prominent jury of professionals, headed by Uwe Kammann (director of the Adolf-Grimme-Instituts, Marl) will listen to the submissions during the festival and discuss them with the public. The audience will have the chance to discuss with the radio play makers every day of the festival.
The listeners on the Internet will vote for the festival’s audience prize, the ARD Online Award. Radio play fans throughout the world can listen to and judge the nominated pieces beginning 21 October. Votes can already be cast beginning 1 October for the competitive prize of the independent radio play scene, Premiere im Netz. The celebratory awarding of prizes will take place on Saturday evening at the ZKM_Media Theater.
