EFI turns 25

The association EFI, Eltern und Freunde für Inklusion [Parents and friends for inclusion], will be celebrating its 25-year anniversary in 2015. As a prelude to the event, a public celebration is scheduled to take place at the ZKM at end of the year 2014, at which the association’s calendar for 2015 will be presented. As patron, Dr. Frank Mentrup, Mayor of the City of Karlsruhe, will open the event.
With the calendar, important personalities from the City of Karlsruhe will be presented together with people connected with the association. The proceeds of the calendar support the association’s work.
The EFI association: the self-evident participation of people with disadvantages for over 25 years
The association »Eltern und Freunde für Inklusion e.V. Karlsruhe« has been committed to improving the social participation of people with disadvantages both within the city and the Karlsruhe vicinity. Focus is placed on bringing about consciousness of the special conditions, such as the fact that inclusion can socially succeed. The association also endeavors to influence the conditions in a positive manner.
As a local initiative, EFI is part of the regional organization of the state working group »Gemeinsam Lernen − Gemeinsam Leben Baden-Württemberg«.
