The conference »Knowledge in Movement – Constitution and Communication of Knowledge in Film« takes place between the July 11 and 12 at the ZKM, from 9 a.m. respectively. The event is organized by the Institute for German Studies at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
Film as a means for the constitution and mediation of knowledge comprises the focus of the conference, and will be considered from multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives. The interplay of film and science, as well as the function of film for science, the medial conditions of film for the acquisition of knowledge and the specific forms of cinematographic knowledge are all explained in greater detail.
