The aim of the International Museum Day is to draw attention to the wide range of museum work and the thematic diversity of the 6,500 museums in Germany. The ZKM will also open its gates on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm – with free admission to the museums.

Launched in 1977, the International Museum Day points out the importance of the museums' work as a contribution to the cultural and social life. At the same time, visitors are encouraged to explore the shown treasures.
 

Public Tours

Admission to the museums is free on International Museum Day, the fee for the Public Tours is 2 Euro per person.
