, Concert

After an extensive tour of Portugal - with its finale at the Konzerthaus Casa da Musica in Porto - the ALEPH Guitar Quartet now plays its current program in Karlsruhe at the cube of the ZKM | Karlsruhe.

The composers Oliver Rappoport, Jörg Mainka, Jaime Reis, and Marko Nikodijecic will be present at the concert. The live electronics and sound direction of the evening will be provided by Sebastian Schottke, Jaime Reis, and Marko Nikodijevic. Since the founding of the ALEPH Guitar Quartet in 1994, the four musicians have been working in close cooperation with composers, sound engineers and acousticians to advance the musical language and playing techniques of the 20th and 21st centuries. Andrés Hernández Alba, Tillmann Reinbeck, Wolfgang Sehringer and Christian Wernicke regularly perform at international festivals such as MaerzMusik (Berlin), Guitar Foundation of America (USA), Steirischer Herbst (Graz), Warschauer Herbst, MusicadHoy (Madrid) or Pan Music (Seoul). The Quartet is supported by the Ernst von Siemens Foundation, the Spanish Ministry of Culture, the Goethe Institute, the State of Baden-Württemberg and the ZKM | Karlsruhe.
