In the comedy »Streamland«, DAS SANDKORN playfully tackles the hot topic of our time: Artificial Intelligence. The scenes explore the phenomenon in a humorous and critical way. The play can now be seen as a guest contribution at ZKM.

It's about 10 million euros! That's the fee for the leading role in the next STREAMLAND Studios film. Three competitors with big ambitions want to seize this opportunity to finally make their breakthrough. Only one can get the role. But who actually calls the shots? A human being or an artificial intelligence?

Individually, in pairs and all together, the three actors have to prove their skills and versatility in front of the green screen. The AI director throws them into a wide variety of scenes, some familiar from famous films, others completely absurd and questionable. They have to prove themselves as pirates à la Jack Sparrow, explore a desert planet, dive into the deep sea or perform a musical number. This movie casting gets more and more out of hand, because the three of them don't give each other any lip either. After all, there is a lot of money and fame at stake. Or is there something else behind all the madness?
