Fri, May 17, 2024 – Sun, May 26, 2024

How do children see other people's places of worship? On the initiative of Oberbürgermeister Frank Mentrup, the archEtrans e.V. association is a guest at the ZKM with its religious education project »Provocation to Courage - Children See the World«. The small exhibition in the foyer shows drawings of religious buildings by children around the world.

In the midst of times of war, the grassroots project emphasizes the connections between different religions and promotes courage for cosmopolitanism and mutual tolerance. Children in Italy, France, Germany, Israel, Palestine, Ukraine, Russia, Romania and Mozambique participated with their drawings.

Opening (Fri, May 17, 2024, 4-6 p.m.)
At the opening, the patron Oberbürgermeister Dr. Frank Mentrup and the scientific-artistic director of the ZKM | Karlsruhe Alistair Hudson will welcome you. In addition, Karlsruhe students will report on their experiences with the project. The opening will be accompanied musically by bagpiper Bastian Brigaldino and the Cantus Juvenum choir.

A limited edition catalog of the exhibition can be purchased in the ZKM Shop.
