Julian Rosefeldt: Trilogy of Failure

Julian Rosefeldt's individual presentations and participation in festivals, among them at the Kunstwerken Berlin, the theater festival in Avignon, in the Villa Arson in Nice or in the framework of the 26th São Paulo Biennale, captured massive international attention.

At the ⁄⁄⁄ZKMax, Parts 1 and 2 of Rosefeldt’s video installation »Trilogie des Scheiterns« (2004) will be shown: »Stunned Man« and »The Soundmaker«. The two and three-part video projections both show two men who pursue various activities in their household environments. What so absorbs the viewer, however, are the conditions and circumstances, which are in part extremely controversial, in which the men are shown.
