Sjoerd van Tuinen
Biography
Sjoerd van Tuinen is assistant professor in philosophy at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where he teaches contemporary continental philosophy. Over the past years, his research has been centered on three domains: mannerism, resentment, and the principle of sufficient reason. He is editor of a dozen books on these and related matters, and has authored Sloterdijk. Binnenstebuiten denken (Klement, Kampen, 2004). He also coordinates the Centre for Art and Philosophy (CAP) and is a cofounder of the Erasmus Institute for Public Knowledge (EIPK), where he coordinates a project on austerity and debt in Europe.
