Current Exhibitions

With »Fellow Travellers« we are creating a polyphonic and dynamic exhibition space at ZKM, through which artists, scientists, communities, and citizens can collaborate and learn from each other. Collectively, we want to find new, practical ways to shape our planetary coexistence.

Social media constantly demand our attention. At the same time, we continuously disclose private data online and in the monitored public space. The exhibition »Digiloglounge N°4. You have a new Follower!« highlights the effects of digital services and technologies on our identity and perception of the world and asks what risks we are willing to take.

In collaboration with the International Coalition of Cultural Workers in Solidarity With Ukraine, ZKM | Karlsruhe presents »Sense of Safety« as part of the international art project »Bridges of Solidarity«. The presentation was curated by antiwarcoalition.art as an extension of the core exhibition »Sense of Safety« at the YermilovCentre in the city of Kharkiv in north-eastern Ukraine.

Figures, artists and stories were found and taken as the starting point for this exhibition, which explores how the future has been imagined, projected or practiced within the ZKM archive.

The exhibition slots into the current discourse on AI and offers the opportunity to enter into dialog and exchanges with algorithmic systems. More

The main building of the Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe has been closed for extensive renovation. However, significant parts of the collection are now accessible to the public again – as the guests of the ZKM | Karlsruhe. More

The computer game platform of ZKM. It invites visitors to engage in informative and creative exchange – and, of course, to play games. The exhibition is aimed at gamers of all ages, but also at visitors who have little experience with computer games. More

The work visualizes the energy mix as a constantly changing composition. To do this, an algorithm accesses daily updated online data. The animation shows the energy map of Germany as a network of resources, depending on weather conditions and the time of day and night.

Daniel Canogar is showing a selection of his generative art at the EnBW Group headquarters. His data-driven works and animations respond in real time to various data sets, including climate change readings, energy consumption patterns, the constant stream of 24/7 news cycles and search queries on Google and other search engines.
