Familab - Media Research by and for Families

The Media Competence Team Karlsruhe cordially invites you to the final event of the ScieCitizen2.0 project. The project and the »Familab« playbox developed by the Media Competence Team will be introduced and presented. We invite you to try out their functions and content on site.

ScieCitizen2.0 was developed as part of the European ERASMUS+ program in the field of adult education. Innovative tools were developed for researchers, educators and citizens to build bridges to science. The centerpiece of the project is a practical handbook that provides step-by-step support in developing and implementing your own citizen science projects.

As a project partner, the Karlsruhe Media Competence Team has developed its own project entitled »Familab - Media Research by and for Families«. It aims to promote dialogue about media use in families and provide helpful impulses and suggestions. At the same time, the project collects data in order to understand how media use is organized in families.

What you can expect at the closing event:

• Presentation of ScieCitizen2.0 and the learning modules developed as a guide for running your own citizen science projects.
• Presentation of the media competence team's »Familab« playbox, including interactive testing options.
• Insight into the practical implementation of Citizen Science projects.
• Exchange and Q&A session with the Media Competence Team.

Medienkompetenz Team e.V. is a non-profit organization based in Karlsruhe, Germany, which aims to increase the media literacy of the population - especially with regard to important issues such as data protection, privacy and the promotion of all necessary digital skills.
