Alain Depocas

Biography
Alain Depocas was head of the Centre for Research and Documentation (CR+D) of the Daniel Langlois Foundation from 1999 to 2011. After studying art history at the Université de Montréal (CA) he worked as documentalist at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal from 1991 to 1999. From 2002 to 2004 he was codirector of the Variable Media Network in partnership with the Solomon R. Guggenheim museum, New York (NY). From 2005 to 2010 he was director of research at DOCAM, a research alliance studying the documentation and preservation of media art. Since 2011 he is working as a program officer at the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CA).
