Pamela Owusu-Brenyah

Pamela Owusu-Brenyah is committed to the visibility of contemporary African culture in Germany. The Berlin-based music consultant, festival organizer, and filmmaker is currently a program curator for Pop-Kultur Festival in Berlin and has worked in the past as an A&R for Universal Music Central Europe & Africa. Since 2019 she has been working as a consultant and curated program for the Pop-Kultur Festival, Reeperbahn Festival, German Federal Ministry for Development and Cooperation, Gropius Bau and many more. In 2018, she founded her festival Afro x Pop, which gives a stage to talented musicians from the Afro-German scene. With her community platform, she builds bridges between artists from the continent and the diaspora, and celebrates the cultural diversity of the continent. In addition, Pamela Owusu-Brenyah is a jury member of Musicboard Berlin's Artist and Residency Funding Program, as well as a board member of Music Women* Germany - a nationwide network dedicated to the equality and participation of women*.
