The book by photographer Marion Kalter contains very personal photographs of Ted Joans, but also letters and a poem by him, and a poem by Yves Buin, which was written for this publication.
It illustrates the years when Marion Kalter met Ted Joans and started her career as a photographer, documenting the beat scene, the surrealists, and the jazz scene of the late 1970s till earlier 1980s.
