On seven monitors distributed around the room on pedestals of different heights or on the floor, in Video Lumina the same eye is always looking at you . And you also look at the eye. Eyes thus see eyes; the observer is observed. A closed circuit is created. If you look closely, you can see the camera in the pupil of the eye, which means that you can also see the imaging organ. Here Weibel reflects on the directness and subjectivity of the gaze, which is simulated in the walkable video installation, on its technical and physical conditions. In addition, video is reflected on as a medium that, unlike film, is no longer projected, as a synthesis of light source, image carrier, and lens, which can also generate feedback loops.
