Numerous workshops, concerts, readings and an Indian bazaar allows visitors of the  »India Summer Days« in Karlsruhe to experience India's diverse culture from July 14–15. The ZKM is also represented: since 2017 with its expertise in digital change it has been acting in the world's largest democracy as a driving force and important communicator between culture and new technologies.

Under the motto »Discover the Authentic India«, the »India Summer Days« will take place for the second time in the Günther-Klotz complex as part of the »Pre-FEST-Week« from July 14–15, 2018.

The ZKM is represented with a workshop which it has already conducted in Mumbai. Until June 2, 2018, the ZKM exhibition experiment »Open Codes. Living in digital worlds« was on display there. In the context of this exhibition, ZKM and Entropia held a workshop in which the participants from Mumbai were allowed to code patterns which were then transferred into an embroidery machine and embroidered on T-shirts.

At the »India Summer Days« the participants are allowed to continue working with the codes from India: Before they are embroidered on shirts and jute bags, they can be individualized with just a few clicks in the code.
