Experimental Aesthetics
Wed, September 17, 2003 7 pm CEST, Lecture

In July 2003 Anette Rohr, a qualified engineer, completed her degree dissertation on the »Design of a Flexible, Computer-assisted, Bio-feedback System« at the ZKM | Institute for Basic Research. Assisted by Adolf Mathias of the Basic Research Institute, who helped to devise the system, she will provide a generally intelligible explanation of the metrological requirements for experimental aesthetics. The presentation will be preceded by an introduction to the fascinating field of experimental aesthetics given by the head of the institute, Dr. Hans Diebner. The project is an attempt to forge a link between art and natural science.
