Loudspeaker Concert
Since the founding of the ZKM | Center for Art and Media, numerous purely acousmatic works have been created. For their playback, the Klangdom presents entirely new possibilities for setting the sounds in space. The works offer profound insight into the production of the ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics. Johannes Goebel was the first head of the Institute and a pioneer in German computer music. The tuba player Melvyn Poore brilliantly combines the acoustics of his brass instrument with electronic possibilities. Sabine Schäfer, composer and installation artist from Karlsruhe, creates a cartography of seemingly familiar music and sounds which map out new acoustic territory.Johannes Goebel »Après les Grand Tours« (1993)
Ramón González-Arroyo »De l’infinito Universo et Mondi« (1996)
Bojidar Spassov from the cycle »Fiato continuo« (2005)
Sabine Schäfer »TopoPhonicSpheres part I« (1993)
Melvyn Poore »Study In Moving Sounds« (1994)
