During his three-month stay as a guest artist at ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics, the Canadian composer David Berezan worked on a new, large-format acousmatic work. When played live, the composition, a twenty minute arrangement, transforms through improvisational means, generating new versions of the work with each performance. Berezan is head of the studio for electronic music at the University of Manchester and he presents the artistic approaches represented there at the Klangdom concert he curates. His own compositions are already brought to bear in the improvisational electronics that he developed.
