Quantum Leaps V
Thu, September 27, 2007 – Sat, September 29, 2007, Festival
The ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics will present the fifth "Quantensprünge" festival: Again, old masters of electronic, electroacoustic, and acousmatic music encounter current works from a young generation. The ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics and the IEMA complement one another congenially: each has its own top-class scholarship program including composers and instrumentalists, and each has its own sound engineer. In the process, instrumental limitations are overcome, instrumental conditions are set in a dialogue to electronic means, and compositions are created with no natural acoustic instruments whatsoever. The IEMA’s highly motivated scholarship holders selected from around the country by a strict jury, guarantee exceptionally dedicated interpretations.
