The Freedom of Art in the Digital Era
Thu, October 22, 2009 – Fri, October 23, 2009, Symposium
What technological changes influence the freedom of art? How strong of a role do economic aspects play? What developments are evident for the future? And will these promote or hinder the freedom of art—or even endanger it? Can cultural workers recognize the demarcations carried out by lawyers and politicians? Where are the borders that also artists must respect? Is it even possible to determine these? The current situation will be presented from a trans-genre view. Cultural workers and lawyers, politicians and media representatives, university members and cultural managers will hereby enter into dialogue.
