In honor of the French director, producer and scriptwriter Teri Wehn Damisch, the ZKM | Karlsruhe presents a two-day film screening. The program comprises a selection of nine from her numerous documentary films. In addition, five of Teri Wehn’s short films can be viewed in front of the ZKM_Lecture Hall throughout the day.
The director was born in Paris and grew up in New York; she has been living in France since 1975. She has realized numerous documentary films, especially on influential contemporary artists and scholars, such as about the stage designer Alexandre Trauner, the Hungarian-born photographer André Kertész, the French philosopher and art historian Hubert Damisch, the Canadian filmmaker and artist Michael Snow, the American artist Robert Morris, the Canadian architect Phyllis Lambert, and the Bulgarian literary theorist Julia Kristeva.
Teri Wehn Damisch is married to the French philosopher and art historian Hubert Damisch. The director and scriptwriter will be present in person during the film program on January 25 and 26, 2013.
