We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition on holography!
Holograms have long-since emerged from the status of fiction, and yet around the time of their first discovery in 1948, they were a complete novelty in visual presentation. They constituted an important precursor to present-day 3D-technologies, the innovations of which the ZKM will be presenting in autumn this year with a new edition of the BEYOND festival. With the exhibition "Holography from the ZKM Collection", from July 6 on − 65 years after the invention of holography − the ZKM presents its holography collection, and thus of the origins of three-dimensional reproduction.
