Opening: Milan Grygar. Sound on Paper

As part of the opening of the exhibition on Friday, July 22, 2016, Milan Grygar's »Architektonická partitura« [architectonic score] from the year of 1971 will be re-performed by professional musicians.

For the first time outside of the Czech Republic, the exhibition will present the unique works by Milan Grygar consisting of visual and acoustic elements, and will document performances based on his musical scores.

Initial recordings of the performances of the »Architektonická partitura« [architectonic score] were digitalized at the ZKM | Karlsruhe – including the performance directed by Erhard Karkoschka, who cooperated with Grygar on various performances between 1970 and 1981, including the »Partitura směru zvuku« [score for sound direction] of 1970, or the »Partitura krajiny« [landscape score] of 1973.
